Life Offshore can be tough depending on the kind of work but it has its rewards. You work 12 hours each day, seven days a week on a continous run from a minimum of 2 weeks to 8 or even 12 weeks.
Some of my work took me to offshore Nigeria in West Africa, in the area of the Gulf of guinea where there are numerous oil rigs. A hot place both in terms of weather and the oil. Not a place where everybody would love to go. Militants and criminals have often sought ransoms with attacks and kidnappings on foreign workers in the Niger Delta, Nigeria's main oil region. Sunset beauty is not be missed while at sea. More snapshot will follow later ...... cheers.
